The new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is a direct replacement for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, but with some serious improvements made to its formula, like better fuel efficiency, more power and more speed to name a few. The overall exterior and interior design of the new hybrid is largely identical to the regular Cayenne, though it has replaced the cheap-looking underplates and has more modern taillights than the previous hybrid model, which was released back in 2015.

The new model packs a punch too, with 455 horsepower and between 5,250 and 6,400 RPM with 516 pound-feet torque maxing out between 1,000 and 3,750 RPM. It achieves this by combining its standard turbocharged V6 engine with an electric motor, which sits between the engine and transmission. The electromechanical clutch is designed to ensure quick reaction times when engaging and disengaging the electric motor and the battery is 30% more powerful than the last hybrid model.

All this results in a car that improves on several aspects of its predecessor, with a 6mph increase in top speed and 0.7 less seconds to achieve 60mph. This means the new Porsche E-Hybrid can reach 60mph in just 4.7 seconds. The new model also boasts an electric-only mode that has the capability of 27 miles on a full battery, making it ideal for many daily commuters looking to cut down on emissions.

Prices for the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid start at £67,128 and is available to order now.
